Amanda Oleander is a contemporary fine artist from Los Angeles. She creates art that every girl can relate to their day to day life. If we have to use a term to describe her art, we will have to owe it from the name of one of her projects, ‘Illustrations depicting life behind closed doors.’ which is inspired from her own relationship.
A relationship is not all about the endearing, romantic activities which we often see as a topic for art, but it also includes mundane moments that are not often portrayed for art. Oleander expresses them beautifully through her art. Everyone who has ever been in a relationship regardless of gender can relate to her artworks about relationship.

Oleander’s art style is inspired by the likes of Modigliani, Alice Neel, and Picasso, and she describes her art as contemporary, bright and figurative. The cartoons she grew up watching, such “The Rugrats,” “The Wild Thornberrys,” and Tim Burton’s creations, also had an impact on her.

Relationship is not the only theme for art but she also illustrates the private life of women with humor as a backdrop.

“The simple things are also the most extraordinary things, and only the wise can see them.”
Paulo Coelho
